Soil Moisture Sensor + Soil Temperature Sensor
Precision soil moisture monitoring for optimal plant growth.
Maintaining the perfect moisture balance is crucial for plant health and productivity. Our Soil Moisture Sensor, seamlessly integrated with SensorDirector, provides accurate and reliable soil moisture data to optimize your watering practices and prevent both overwatering and underwatering.
The GrowDirector Soil Moisture Sensor connects to SensorDirector and delivers accurate, reliable soil moisture data so you can optimize your watering practices. Precisely measuring moisture levels prevents overwatering and underwatering, while AI powered insights turn that data into recommendations for irrigation scheduling.
By integrating the sensor with SensorDirector, you gain a powerful tool to track conditions remotely and automatically adjust irrigation systems based on real time soil moisture levels.
This sensor measures soil moisture and soil temperature at the same time. It helps growers understand how much water is available in the soil and how warm the root zone is, both essential for healthy plant growth. The sensor can be inserted into the soil for quick measurements or permanently installed for long term monitoring. Its stainless steel probe and sealed housing make it suitable for greenhouses, outdoor fields, and automated irrigation systems. Vertical installation provides an average reading over about 6 cm of depth, so choose a location with uniform soil density and avoid areas with roots, gravel, or air pockets. The sensor is factory calibrated and does not require user calibration.
Technical Specifications
A stainless steel soil temperature sensor for agricultural monitoring, storage environments, scientific research, and IoT systems. It provides accurate temperature readings with fast response time and stable performance, and is compact, waterproof, easy to install, and cost effective for long term field deployment. The probe inserts fully into the soil and should not be bent or forced into hard soil or stones, and the cable should not be left under tension. For long term installation, protect the cable from moisture and mechanical damage. The sensor is factory calibrated and does not require user calibration.
