Welcome to the world of simplicity. Your GrowDirector system comes with comprehensive instructions and online resources to guide you through setup. Follow these simple steps to optimize your growing environment.
Where to place each module
SensorDirector
Ideally in the center of your greenhouse for comprehensive crop-level data. Comes with a 6.5 or 16.4 ft (2 or 5 m) cord, extendable to 49 ft (15 m). Connect sensors first, then power the module.
DryContactDirector
Install near your electrical cabinet. Requires professional electrician installation.
SocketDirector
Flexible placement within the greenhouse.
DimmerDirector
Can be located anywhere, preferably near the LED driver.
Connect the sensors
EC & pH sensors
Waterproof
Connect to HydroDirector sensor ports. Place in the reservoir or manifold, ensuring the water level is at least 1 inch (3 cm) above the sensors.
LUX, PAR, CO₂, Humidity, Temp & VPD
Not waterproof
Connect to SensorDirector sensor ports. Keep these sensors away from direct water contact.
Soil Moisture sensor
Waterproof
Connect to SensorDirector. This sensor is waterproof and requires calibration.

- Use the button on the back of each module to connect it to the app.
- Create an account and log in.
- Enable notifications for alerts.
- Ensure a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection for your greenhouse.
- Connect the modules one by one.
Place the sensors
Position each sensor where it reads the conditions that matter for your crop.
Wire to the module
Plug sensors into the correct ports before applying power to the module.
Calibrate in the app
Follow the app prompts to calibrate sensors that require it.
Waterproof
EC and pH sensors can be placed in the reservoir or manifold. Ensure the water level is at least 1 inch (3 cm) above the sensors.
Not waterproof
Place humidity, temperature, and VPD sensors in the desired locations. Calibrate the soil moisture sensor, which is waterproof.
- Decide which devices you want to automate.
- Connect each device to the appropriate module.
- Set up rules, triggers, and schedules for each device in the app.
HydroDirector
Manually operate each dosing pump, ensuring liquid flows through the 'out' pipe. Then set the triggers and switch to automatic mode.
Electrical modules
Connect the module, add your devices in the app, run them manually to confirm operation, then set the rules to automate.
